My name is Brian Garrity. After college I moved to Chicago for two years. While in Chicago, I worked in the restaurant industry and had a chance to work at a Michelin Star restaurant after my first year living there. I love trying new restaurants, cooking, and pretty much anything that has to do with food.

Due to the impact the restaurant industry has had with the pandemic, I decided to move back to my home in Connecticut. With the purpose to pursue a career change that can provide more stability and growth. During my time home, I took the initiative and completed UConn's Full Stack Development Bootcamp. The bootcamp was approximately 6 months long and I learned a lot of different software engineering skills during this time. After that, I took apart in a 6 week coding bootcamp with Southern Methodist University. Now that I have completed those bootcamps, I am pursing a software engineering career in web development. Here are some of the skills that I learned while part of those bootcamps.
